Design Sirkun has been producing handmade jewelry since 2007. At the heart of the company is Sirkku Peltokangas, a craftswoman from Kuopio Design Academy, Finland. In her workshop, located near to her home in a Finnish Lake District, inspirations come and go, and forms are shaped by poking wool.
The jewelry is a combination of coloful wooden beads and felted creations from lambswool. The two raw materials, hard wooden beads and soft felted lambswool, beautifully complement each other. Each piece of jewelry in itself is quite simple, but enchanted with small details. One could describe the jewelry as playful, cheerful, warm and nostalgic.
