DESIGN ARJA AALTO, JEWELLERY, BAGS AND BIRCH PLYWOOD PRODUCTS
Arja Aalto-Viittala, craft artist, non-fiction writer and entrepreneur from Tampere, Finland. Designs and manufactures unique products, mainly jewellery and bags. The materials used most often are horsehair, silver, leather, felt and birch plywood. Recycling and reuse of materials are a strong part of the manufacture of certain products.
Arja designs and manufactures the products herself at her home studio in Tampere. The birch plywood products are designed in cooperation with Gepetto Ltd based in Kangasala, Finland, and the plywood parts are cut at their premises in Kangasala.
